The coming week is filled with fun days that leave most of us scratching our heads.  Ever ready for celebration, we love our holidays and can find a reason to celebrate just about anything.November 4: Waiting For The Barbarians Day
It took some digging, but it turns out this day celebrates a book with the same title, Waiting For The Barbarians, by J.M. Coetzee.

November 5: Gunpowder Day, aka Guy Fawkes Day
Of British origin, Gunpowder Day is a reminder of the Gunpowder Plot, a plot to assassinate King James.  Fawkes, a member of the group behind the plot, was executed for his crimes and the king declared November 5 to be a day to celebrate the King’s escape from assassination.

November 6: Saxophone Day
Saxophone Day celebrates the birth of saxophone inventor, Adophe Sax, who was born on this day in 1814.

November 7: National Bittersweet Chocolate With Almonds Day
Who doesn’t love a day to celebrate one of the best foods ever invented?  Go grab a Hershey’s with Almonds and dig in.

November 8: Dunce Day
Duns Scotus, inventor of dunce caps, died on this day in 1308, so celebrate this invention by, well, not being a dunce.

November 9: Chaos Never Dies Day
No, it isn’t a James Bond movie.  This day is to embrace the chaos in our lives because, well, it never goes away.

November 10: Forget-Me-Not Day
The national day of doing what you were supposed to do anyway – stay in touch with friends and family.
